Getting There

Geoff and Sandy St Jean de Laur has been our second home since 1985.  We find the region, the village and the people quite special and we love every moment we are there. The unspoilt, peaceful surroundings remain very much as when we first saw them. Pollution-free air is evidenced by the moss which grows on dry stone walls - and the spectacular night-time skies.

We bought the cottage in 1990. It had not been occupied for many years and in need of renovation.  Since then it has been in regular use by our family and friends who have spent many happy holidays there.   Our first paying guests came in 2013 and we are gratified to have received so many nice comments.

This is superb walking country where within short distances are a variety of walks of easy / medium routes. Itineraries and walking poles are there for your use.  Our housebook has lots of information about some of the other great things you can do.

The cottage is managed by Jacqueline and Bastiaan who also live in the village. They ensure that  everything has been properly prepared for each new arrival.  During the stay, any problems are resolved promptly.

A recently installed wood burning stove makes it very suitable for a growing number of off season guests – particularly walkers.
